In 1875, our founder and namesake started publishing Sunday school materials to share the story of Jesus with kids living on the streets of Chicago. More than a century later, his one-man, inner-city mission has grown into an international organization. And while our books and materials are used every day on every continent, we’ve never lost sight of our true calling – sharing the Gospel with those hungry for redemption and love.
You’re probably already familiar with David C Cook. After all, in North America and Europe, our Sunday school curriculums and Christian books are read by millions everyday. And our recorded music and song catalogs, published by Integrity Music, part of David C Cook family, lead believers in song and worship.
But there’s so much more to our story. We believe God has called us to provide these same materials to local churches on a global scale – to deliver a life-transforming message to some of the most remote places in the world. For people living in these places, the need for material is especially high, but the ability to pay for them is especially low.
Today, David C Cook is highly respected as a world-class publisher. While we appreciate that, mission comes first with us. We are non-profit. We earn all we can and we gather donations so we can give millions of dollars a year worth of resources to local churches in parts of the world where nothing is available.
David C Cook is a global ministry whose resources are published in more than 150 languages, distributed in more than 80 countries. They are sold in the wealthy countries of the world and either subsidized or given away in developing countries.
Our calling, since 1875, is to equip local churches on a global scale, assisting them as they introduce generations to Jesus Christ , make and teach disciples, and lead songs of worship.
Join us as we serve people in plenty and poverty, seeing for yourself how God rewrites their earthly stories and changes their eternal lives. Know that 100% of your investment will go directly to furthering God’s message of love and forgiveness in some of the most remote places of the world.
